Obituary of Allan Rupp

Allan B. Rupp, 91, of Crestwood Village VI, Whiting, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2014 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. He was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, living there until retiring in 1984 when he moved to Whiting. Allan was a self-employed electrologist for 38 years. He was a member of the American Checkers Association, ranked 5th in the World, a member of the Brooklyn Runners Club, PAL Runners Club, Park Association and Crestwood Village VI Pool Club. Allan was known around the area as the Singer. He was predeceased by his wife, Frances in 1988 and his son, Jeffery in 1970. He is survived by his daughter, Arlene Rupp-Goolnick and son-in-law, Steve and two granddaughters, Melissa and Victoria Goolnick. There will be a funeral service Tuesday, Jan. 14th at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A funeral gathering from 12:00 to 1:00 pm. A Service will be held at 1:00 pm at funeral home Interment will follow at Whiting Memorial Park, Whiting.
