Obituary of Thomas Mangieri
Thomas Mangieri, 93, of Princeton Junction, NJ, formerly of Whiting, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2013 at Merwick Care & Rehabilitation Center in Plainsboro, NJ. Born in San Rufo, Italy, Tom came to the United States at the age of 10. He lived in Brooklyn, NY most of his life and moved to Whiting in 1986. He was a furniture salesman for Detroit Furniture Company, Brooklyn, NY for 20 years. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II. Tom was a communicant, Eucharistic Minister and Usher of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. He was also a member of the church's Holy Name Society and was a 4th Degree member and Past Grand Knight of the Knights of Columbus, Council #9852, Toms River.
He was predeceased by his wife of 64 years, Virginia. He is survived by his daughter and son-in-law, Denise and Alfred DiCarlo of Princeton Junction.
Visitation will be Sunday, Dec. 8th from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., Monday Dec. 9th from 1 to 4 p.m. and Tuesday, Dec. 10th from 9 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A Funeral Liturgy will follow at 10:45 a.m., Tuesday, Dec. 10th at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Interment will be at Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans' Memorial Cemetery, Arneytown.
