Obituary of Patricia Gavaris

Patricia Evelyn Gavaris, 77, of Whiting, passed away Friday, November 15, 2013 at home. Born in New York City, NY, she lived in the Bronx, NY before moving to Whiting in 1996. Patricia was an executive secretary at Emigrant Savings Bank, New York City, NY for 45 years, retiring in 2001. She was a member of the Pine Ridge South Resident's Club and a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. She is survived by her beloved companion, John (Jack) Williams of Whiting; her two daughters, Doris Olivo of Winter Garden, FL and Donna Schafer of Maplewood, NJ; one brother, William Rumble of New York; two sisters, Joan Brando of Toms River, NJ and Dorothy Weiss of Connecticut; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Visitation is Private. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered at 10:45 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 19th at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 30 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. Arrangements are under the direction of Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, Whiting.
