Obituary of Florence Brown Miles

Florence Ann (Bunny) Brown Miles, 80, of Whiting, passed away Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Community Medical Center in Toms River. She was born in Jersey City and lived there until she moved to Whiting in 1998. Florence was a legal secretary for 20 years, retiring in 1998. She was a communicant of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. She was predeceased by her first husband, James J. Brown, Jr. in 2004 and her sister, June Gibson in 1996. She is survived by her second husband of three years, Robert Miles; four children and their spouses, Elizabeth and Paul Forrester of Jersey City, Patricia and Donald Meyer of Forked River, James J. III and Josephine Brown of Cranford and Robert and Marielle Brown of Westfield; one sister, Janet Amatrudi and five grandchildren, Donald Meyer, Michael Meyer, Katie Brown, Robert Brown and Connor Brown. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m., Thursday, May 23rd at Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, 28 Schoolhouse Road, Whiting. A Funeral Liturgy will be offered at 10:45 a.m., Friday, May 24th at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, Whiting. Entombment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Toms River.
