Obituary of Frank Gerould

Gerould, Frank J., age 65, of Whiting passed away at home on Tuesday, March 26, 2013 after a brief illness. Frank was born in Jersey City, NJ and also lived in Secaucus, NJ before moving to Whiting in 2012. After high school Mr. Gerould served in the US Navy during the Vietnam Conflict. He worked for the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey as the Chief of the Emergency Fire Service and was also a member of the New Jersey State Fire Chiefs' Association. Frank is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Shirley. He was the devoted father to two daughters, Danielle Nebbia and Chantal Smith. He is also survived by his sister, Cecilia Hansen, and four grandchildren. Visiting for Mr. Gerould will be on Thursday, March 28, 2013 between 2 pm to 4 pm and 7 pm to 9 pm. A prayer service will be held at 11:30 am on Friday, March 29, 2013 in the funeral home. The cremation is private.
