Obituary of Margaret Guida

Margaret Guida, 83, died on September 28, 2012 at her home in Whiting after a two year struggle with cancer. The daughter of James and Helen Guida, Margie was born and raised in Jersey City. Upon graduating form Ferris High School, she was employed for several years as a secretary for Emerson Radio & TV Corp., Jersey City. She was a Customer Service Manager for 30 years with Fire Islander Sportswear and Marisa Christina, Inc., a job she loved. She retired to Whiting in 1997. Her work ethic, cheerful disposition and sense of humor endeared her to fellow workers and customers alike. "My Little Margie" will be remembered with love and a smile by all who knew her. Surviving Margie are several cousins and extended family members, Barbara Clayton of Whiting, Ann & Bill Homeyer of Manahawkin, Margaret Guida of San Francisco, CA, Toni Zaninelli of Bayonne, Melinda & Paul Lentz of Jersey City, Deena & Jason Conti of Maryland, Christina Haskins of Roseland and Margi Silverman of Philadelphia, PA. Cremation will be private. A memorial mass celebrating Margaret's life will be offered at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, October 20th at the All Saints Chapel of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church, 30 Schoolhouse Rd., Whiting. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Van Dyke Hospice, 99 Route 37 West, Toms River, NJ 08755-6423. Arrangements are under the direction of Manchester Memorial Funeral Home, Whiting.
